SOCIAL JUSTICE ADVOCACY

Lee is a social justice advocate working in the reproductive justice framework, who works to develop safe spaces and incorporate conversations about issues of social justice into their art-making practices. Much of their work focuses on conversations about intersectional feminism, sexual health, and sexual violence & rape culture, particularly with high school and college age students. They served as both a playwright and stage manager with For Youth Inquiry, a performance group under the Illinois Caucus for Adolescent Health, that creates participatory plays for middle and high school students about sexual health and sexual violence. Lee also stage managed and produced Student Body, a theatre piece devised by Northwestern University students, and written and directed by fellow NU alum Nik Zaleski, that addresses sexual violence & rape culture on Northwestern’s campus.
