WRITING
Lee O. Ahlborn graduated from Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Arts in English, with a concentration in Poetry, where they studied with Mary Kinzie and Rachel Webster. They were a semi-finalist for the 2015 Luminarts Creative Writing Fellowship for their semi-autobiographical poem, The Biology of Human Starvation, which examines disordered eating. Their play #StartTheConvo, co-written with Nik Zaleski and developed with the Illinois Caucus for Adolescent Health (ICAH), is about starting affirming, intergenerational conversations about sexual health. The piece is a participatory and designed for audiences up to 800 students, and is available for touring in Chicago Public Schools.
